Garrett has been an active LGBRC member since 1996. He has contributed much since joining: most notably, he has faithfully produced our newletter for the past few years. He has raced on road and track as a Category 4 racer, worked on the Cat's Hill Criterium, Chairman for the Timpany Criterium, has proven himself outstanding photographer and chronicler of club events, and has been a ride leader.

He was attracted to cycling when he injured his knee running, and shortly thereafter bought a bike. He joined LGBRC after reading a Cat's Hill Criterium program at the Bicycle Outfitter. He found the members' stories fascinating, and was amazed that so many members only started racing when in their 30's or older, and without much of a cycling background. That gave him the confidence to join the club and then start racing. He hopes his example will inspire other new racers.
