Antonio Torres
Antonio joined LGBRC in 2026 as a category 1//2 racer.
We asked him how he got in cycling. He responed, " I have always loved bikes from a young age and enjoyed the freedom that riding to school gave me as an adolescent."
"
I eventually found triathlons, and found bike racing from that, then dropped triathlons and found my love for this sport largely through collegiate racing originally at Case Western Reserve University, and then at San Jose State University"
What achievement does he consider he most memorable? "I don't really have one achievement that I fixate on, but I'd say I'm generally just proud of how far I've come in the sport. Becoming a cat 2 would encompass that if road was more my thing, but I'm competitive in pro gravel and MTB fields too, which isn't covered by any category."
His other interests? "I just graduated from SJSU in December 2025 and now work as a wire harness engineer at reliable robotics as my day job."
He adds, "Big on carbs and bringing sketchy looking bags of white powder (pre-dosed sugar) to all my training rides."
